Who we are

Cozy Health Limited, Nigeria, operates Cozy Health and its provider dashboard. Contact Team@cozyhealth.org for privacy questions, access, correction, export, deletion, or complaints.

Information we process

We process account details and credentials; mood and wellbeing entries; journals and associated recordings where used; assessment responses and scores; provider connections, sharing choices and messages; community contributions; and security and access records. Student applicants may submit institution and enrolment evidence. Emergency-contact setup collects the contact details needed for the chosen contact method.

Some information is stored in an account-specific local cache for offline use and synchronized with our service. Removing the app is not the same as deleting your account.

Why we process information

We use information to provide requested features, maintain accounts, score assessments, enable chosen provider sharing, protect the service, and respond to support requests. Optional health-data processing and sharing are explained at the point of choice. Applicable legal grounds and any special-category condition must be documented for the countries in which the service is offered.

Provider sharing is your choice

A linked provider can see your first name, identifier, sharing choices and assigned-resource status. Optional categories start off: mood entries; journal summaries; assessment results; and provider notes. Journal summaries may include titles, type, word count and dates, but do not include journal bodies, transcripts or recordings. Specific assessment-result sharing requires the applicable result permission.

Providers may view or export authorized information. You can turn categories off or disconnect in My Provider. New requests respect changes; already viewed, copied or downloaded information cannot be recalled. Reconnecting starts with optional categories off.

Optional analytics and diagnostics

PostHog is the selected usage-analytics provider. When enabled and you opt in, selected events measure app activity, signup/onboarding progress, general feature use, return visits, app version and platform. Analytics excludes journal text, chat messages, mood values, assessment responses/results and crisis activity. Session recording is off. Analytics is optional and can be disabled in Privacy settings.

Sentry is integrated for technical diagnostics, subject to release configuration and your separate crash-reporting preference. Diagnostic safeguards exclude user-authored health content. Firebase Cloud Messaging supports push notifications; it is not our usage-analytics provider.

Vendors and transfers

Formspree processes website waitlist submissions. Transactional email and cloud infrastructure support requested service operations. Apple and Google process purchases when store billing is activated. PostHog and Sentry serve the purposes described above when configured and enabled. We do not send emergency-contact or student-evidence data to usage analytics.

Before release, we will identify the production infrastructure and mail providers, hosting regions and applicable transfer arrangements. These details must reflect actual deployment; this notice does not itself establish regulatory compliance.

Retention and deletion

Request deletion in Settings → Delete Account, or follow the web-request instructions at cozyhealth.org/support. In-app deletion removes the account from the active database and related records covered by its deletion process. File cleanup, backups, retained security/billing records and provider-held copies follow the approved retention schedule and applicable obligations.

We do not promise that all copies disappear immediately or within a fixed period without a verified schedule. Account deletion does not automatically cancel Apple or Google subscriptions.

Young people

Cozy Health is intended for people aged 13 and older. Users under 18 need parental or guardian authorization where applicable. Availability and consent requirements depend on local rules; under-13 accounts are not permitted.

Your choices and complaints

You can change optional analytics, diagnostics, marketing and provider-sharing choices independently. Contact Team@cozyhealth.org to exercise applicable rights or raise a concern. We may verify identity using proportionate methods; do not send a password, full journal, or government ID with an initial request. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
